Job Summary
Assist in planning, implementing, and facilitating developmentally appropriate student engagement while monitoring students visually and audibly. Support teachers by reinforcing learning concepts, implementing IEPs and 504 plans, and helping students develop self-help skills such as dressing and hygiene. Provide direct assistance with mobility, basic needs like diapering and tube feeding, and administer standardized assessments as directed. Maintain a safe environment, troubleshoot technology, and perform assigned safety duties including bus duty and parent pickup. Participate in professional growth activities, attend scheduled trainings, and substitute for the classroom teacher when called upon.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Passing score on ParaPro exam, or at least 60 semester hours of college credit
- Successful experience working with children
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening
