Job Summary
Conduct individual and small group instruction for students in special education and general education settings, implementing prescribed lessons and core curriculum support. Assist teachers with student needs, including administering assessments, managing transitions, and providing nonmedical hygiene assistance. Collect and record accurate data on student progress while collaborating with staff to maintain behavior support plans. Ensure student safety through evacuation drills and implement individualized behavior plans in a fast-paced environment. Work with district leadership to address systemic barriers and promote equitable access for diverse students.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Thorough understanding of and commitment to the principles and practices of diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice as they relate to student, staff and community engagement and cultivation
- Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed
- Candidates must be flexible and collaborative
- Candidates must be able to multitask in a fast-paced, supportive environment that nurtures student growth
- Candidates must be organized and able to meet ongoing, time-sensitive deadlines for work production
- Strong record of work performance in current and previous roles
- Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (C.O.R.I.), Sexual Offender Record Check (S.O.R.I.), and fingerprints
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Classroom, etc.) and PowerSchool
- Bilingual skills, especially in Spanish and Portuguese
