Job Summary
Paraprofessional to support transition-age students (18–22) with intellectual disabilities, autism, and other needs across classroom, community, and college settings. Responsibilities include coaching in organization, time management, study habits, self-advocacy, social communication, life skills, and personal safety; assisting with job-site tasks and travel training; collaborating with teachers, service providers, and college personnel; maintaining documentation and communicating with the Special Education Case Manager; building professional relationships and upholding confidentiality. Emphasis on fostering independence, inclusion, and meaningful participation in individualized transition programming.
Required Qualifications
- Commitment to inclusive practices that support students academically, socially, and vocationally.
- Experience working with diverse learners in school or community settings.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
