Job Summary
Conduct daily educational support for individual or small groups of students under teacher supervision, implementing individualized programs based on IEPs, behavioral plans, and healthcare directives. Execute de-escalation and physical management techniques as prescribed in approved training programs, including lifting and moving students when necessary. Collect data related to student progress and behavior, reporting critical concerns immediately to classroom teachers or the Program Director. Maintain consistent attendance, adhere to all organizational policies, and complete mandatory trainings including annual restraint recertification, CPR/First Aid, and threat assessment. Uphold confidentiality for all staff, students, and families while performing other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Must be able and willing to physically restrain and/or lift students
- Consistent work attendance which includes; arriving to work on time each day, working the entire day and notifying the program director/coordinator a minimum of 24 hours in advance for a personal day whenever possible
- Follow all policies and procedures as established by the South Shore Educational Collaborative
- Participate in all required in-service training
- Maintain confidentiality regarding information for all SSEC staff, students and their families
- Successful completion of SSEC approved restraint trainings
- Maintain active CPR/First Aid certification
- Successful completion of all SSEC approved threat assessment training
- Successful completion of required training hours for 7D licensure if requested by the program director/coordinator

- Experience working with students in a school setting with academic, behavioral and/or emotional challenges, learning or developmental disabilities or autism
