Job Summary
Assist certified staff in classrooms to support instructional goals, supervise students, reinforce reading, language arts, and mathematics, and help implement programs. Responsibilities include helping with classroom activities, preparing instructional materials, assisting with tests and assessments, documenting student progress, supporting behavior management, supervising non-instructional duties (lunch, bus, playground, study hall), accompanying students on field trips, communicating with parents, and supporting students with disabilities to maximize inclusion and learning per IEP objectives. Requires ability to follow instructions, operate standard office software, and work with diverse groups of students and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of college level coursework or passing of examination as required by the No Child Left Behind Act
