Job Summary
Provide direct support to specified students in general education and small group settings, including one-on-one assistance for behavioral, physical, and academic needs. Assist students with transitions, manage structured movement breaks, and facilitate standing or walking as required. Maintain daily behavior plans, inform team development based on observations, and participate in circle or group facilitation. Support before and after school consequences, attend IEP team meetings, and hold regular progress meetings with content area teachers to track modifications and accommodations. Schedule coverage for students outside the classroom and chaperone afterschool events while collaborating with colleagues, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree
- a minimum of two years' teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting
- Crisis Prevention Intervention training
- Applied Behavior Analysis trained

- Have knowledge of and/or experience in subject area expertise, child/adolescent development, and leading a diverse group of students in an academic or non-academic setting
