Job Summary
Assist in coordinating day-to-day operations of Content Mastery Centers; support students across subject areas; help with assignment completion and test accommodations (IEP); facilitate study groups; prepare and duplicate classroom materials; uphold confidentiality and safety; utilize CMC materials effectively; foster a positive learning environment; collaborate with supervising teachers and staff; attend meetings and trainings; perform additional duties as assigned by the principal/Director of Special Education.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Knowledgeable of behavior management and teaching strategies
- Meet one of the following eligibility requirements: Associate degree; At least 48 college credit hours; OR Pass the Para-Pro Assessment
- Reports to: Principal
- JOB GOAL: To assist and maintain effective operation in Content Mastery Centers as directed by content mastery teachers/teacher
- TERM: Nine (9) months
- SALARY: Paraprofessional Salary Schedule
- RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist in coordination of day to day operations which includes following the daily schedule of the CMC Center. 2. Assist students in all subject areas as directed by the teacher(s). 3. Assist students with assignment completion and test accommodations as directed by the teacher(s)/IEP. 4. Facilitate and oversee study groups. 5. Assist in duplication of classroom materials, in addition but not limited to maintaining content mastery files. 6. Adheres to confidentiality and safety policies. 7. Use materials and property of CMC effectively. 8. Promote and maintain a positive learning environment. 9. Work cooperatively with supervising teachers and other faculty members. 10. Attend appropriate meetings and training sessions impacting the operation of CMC, as well as any other meetings recommended by the supervising teacher/principal. 11. Perform any other duties assigned by the principal and/or Director of Special Education.
