Job Summary
Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials, providing one-on-one support to students, and monitoring student behavior. Support students with special needs, help implement IEPs, supervise students during transitions, and communicate with teachers and parents. General administrative duties include tracking student progress and assisting with classroom technology. Requires a high school diploma or GED, and completion of 60 college credit hours or passing the Paraprofessional Assessment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 60 hours of college credit or passing the Paraprofessional Assessment
- Pass a background check and complete the Family Care Safety Registry
- Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States
- Willing to acquire a substitute certification if not yet a certified educator
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and certification in special education preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to accept and implement professional feedback
- Experience working with students
