Job Summary
Provide physical and emotional support to special needs students across all school environments to ensure they gain full benefits from their educational placement. Supervise students during arrival, lunch, recess, and classroom activities while assisting staff with curriculum implementation and behavior support plans. Work on academics, social skills, and daily living activities under the direction of supervising teachers, participating in training to develop these competencies. Identify student needs and collaborate with professionals to address social, emotional, and learning challenges. Maintain consistent, reliable attendance and follow district policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa
- Cori and fingerprint clearance
- Consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher
- Experience working with students with social, emotional, and/or behavioral needs
- Excellent oral, written, and communication skills
