Paraprofessional 6-21 years

Paraprofessional position supporting Special Education services under the supervision of the assigned teacher(s). Primary duties include assisting with individualized education program goals, implementing tutorial activities (small group/individual), assisting with toileting/hygiene procedures, medical record keeping, and preparation of class work. The role requires lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds, with tasks involving various physical movements (walking, standing, kneeling, stooping, crawling, bending, reaching, etc.). Additional responsibilities include medical/hygiene procedures (e.g., tube feeding, suctioning, catheterization, medication administration, glucose checks, ostomy bag care), data collection and progress monitoring, attendance and classroom routine support, PBIS implementation, and communication with students, families, and staff. Requires professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to district policies; employment is 7.5 hours per day, 180 days, with a probation period of 6 months. Noted qualifications include passing the Para-Pro assessment or completing college credits or possessing an Associate’s Degree, and completion of mandated trainings and certifications.
