Paraprofessional 1:1 STRIVE

Paraprofessional 1:1 STRIVE supports classroom instruction and student needs in a Springfield, Illinois school. Responsibilities include assisting the teacher with classroom activities, supervising students in the lunchroom and on the playground, aiding with activities from buses to classrooms, operating the copying machine for classroom materials, assisting with feeding and toileting for students requiring total care, lifting and positioning non-ambulatory students, helping students with self-help skills, and performing other duties as assigned. Must have educator licensure with stipulation or valid Illinois teaching licensure or 90-day sub licensure, a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to follow directions, communicate effectively with staff, and pass physical and TB tests; CPI course and refreshers are required. Hires hours are 7 per day across 191 days per year, with CPI training integrated into the role and ongoing professional requirements.
