Job Summary
Paraprofessional 1:1 position at Mayfield Elementary. The role involves providing instructional support and one-to-one assistance to students in the classroom (6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hours per week through the end of the school year). Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license and Social Security Card, eligibility to work with and around children, age 21+, a clear state and federal background check, a genuine desire to aid students, good health and attendance, and the Ohio Student Monitor Educational Aide Permit. In Title I buildings, candidates must meet additional qualification options: 48 college hours, 72 college hours, an Associate Degree, or pass the Ohio Paraprofessional test. Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Social Security Card
- Be experienced in working with and around children
- At least 21 years of age
- State and Federal Background Check free of infractions
- Sincere desire to aid all students
- Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record
- Student monitor educational aide permit from the Ohio Department of Education
- In buildings that qualify for Title 1 Funding, candidates must have: 48 College semester hours OR 72 College quarter hours OR Associate Degree OR Passed the Ohio Paraprofessional test
