Parapro Sp Ed - Pre-K - Sp Ed Pre-Kindergarten

Provide support to the instructional program within an assigned classroom with responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care, and instruction of special needs students in regular and special education settings; assist in implementing IEP goals and objectives, adapt activities to reinforce IEP objectives, monitor student behavior, and contribute to data collection and reporting. Administer basic first aid and medical assistance as directed, support teachers with testing, homework, and make-up work, assist students with daily living needs and grooming, and communicate with teachers to evaluate progress and implement IEP plans. Monitor safety, participate in crisis intervention, and assist with various supervision duties (hallways, lunchroom, restrooms, bus duty) as assigned. Qualifications include knowledge of child development, Microsoft Office, effective interpersonal skills, and ability to act as a representative of Gwinnett County Public Schools; duties may involve collaboration in IEP meetings and data-driven instructional support.
