Job Summary
Paraplanner position supporting Lead Advisors by assisting with the creation of detailed financial plans, performing investment research and analysis, maintaining client information and workflows, and helping prepare client presentation materials. Responsibilities include gathering and entering data into financial planning software, preparing draft financial plans, generating client portfolio performance reports, maintaining client information in CRM systems (Salesforce) and planning tools, and collaborating with team members to enhance workflows and client experiences. The role requires securities and insurance registrations, a degree in finance-related fields (preferred), strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in-office five days per week. Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $80,000 depending on experience; PTO and retirement benefits are included. Employment is with Heart of Texas Associates, an independent Thrivent-affiliated practice.
Required Qualifications
- Securities (6/63, 7/66, or 7/63 & 65) and Life, Health, and Annuity registration required
- Degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred
- Demonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 2+ years preferred
- Extremely strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) or ability to learn
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
- Experience in What If Tax and MoneyGuidePro is a plus
