Job Summary
Deliver pre-hospital emergency response and Advanced Life Support (Level 1) while administering medical questionnaires for fitness-for-work assessments. Monitor the health and wellbeing of field crews, including Elders and Traditional Owners, and support initial response planning and survey logistics. Maintain accurate clinical documentation using systems such as Cority and navigate rugged environments to assist with vehicle and equipment coordination. Prepare, check, and maintain medical equipment, consumables, and medications. This role requires AHPRA registration, 3+ years on-road experience, and flexibility for 12-hour FIFO shifts in the Pilbara. Candidates must possess strong situational awareness, current driver's license, and specific certifications including HLTAID009 and RIIVEH305F. Previous experience with Traditional Owner communities and familiarity with RTIO systems are desirable.
Required Qualifications
- AHPRA Registered Paramedic
- 3+ years on-road experience
- Current Advanced Life Support Level 1 (ALS1)
- Strong situational awareness and ability to work independently
- Flexible to work 12-hour shifts, Primarily day shift, on an as rostered FIFO basis
- Flexibility with Roster with an approximate even time assignment
- Previous experience with Traditional Owner communities, Pilbara-based work, or remote Indigenous healthcare
- Familiarity with RTIO systems, including: Cority
- Familiarity with RTIO systems, including: RTIO-HSE clinical protocols and documentation standards
- Familiarity with RTIO systems, including: HLTPAT005 – Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing
- Familiarity with RTIO systems, including: HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Familiarity with RTIO systems, including: RIIVEH305F – Operate and Maintain a Four-Wheel Drive Vehicle
- Current Drivers Licence
- Cannulation competent
- Cert III in Response and Rescue (or elements of)
