Job Summary
Paramedic - Urgent Care at Pisgah Church in Greensboro, NC. Provides patient/family centered care, rapid evaluation of life-threatening emergencies, and implementation of prescribed therapies within the scope of practice. Collaborates with nursing and medical teams to establish treatment goals, maintains patient privacy and professional conduct, promotes use of technology/equipment to enhance patient safety, documents care in the Electronic Medical Record, and participates in professional practice, governance, and quality initiatives. Requires Paramedic certification or AA.S. degree in Paramedic studies, BCLS, EMT-P certification, and seeks ACLS/PALS as required by area; three years of emergency service experience preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a high-stakes ED environment are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Paramedic certification from an accredited certified paramedic program, or an AA.S. Degree in Paramedic studies or equivalent
- Three years of Emergency Service experience preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- state-OEMS certification as EMT-P
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required within one year in select areas
- Critical Care certificate or National Registry paramedic preferred
- maintains certification through affiliation with approved applicable state-OEMS education provider
