Job Summary
Paramedic position in an Urgent Care setting with night shifts (7p-7a, three days per week, rotating weekends/holidays) in Kernersville/Greensboro, NC. Responsibilities include rapid evaluation of life-threatening emergencies, implementing therapies within scope of practice, collaborating with the ED team, maintaining patient privacy and professional conduct, utilizing technology and equipment for patient safety, documenting care in the EMR, and participating in professional practice and quality initiatives. Requires paramedic certification or A.A.S. in Paramedic studies, BCLS, EMT-P certification, and may require ACLS/PALS; critical care certification is preferred; three years EMS experience preferred. Maintains ongoing certification with state OEMS providers and adheres to standards of care.
Required Qualifications
- Paramedic certification from an accredited certified paramedic program, or an Associate's of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree in Paramedic studies or equivalent
- Three years of Emergency Service experience preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Applicable state-OEMS certification as EMT-P
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required within one year in select areas
- Critical Care certificate or National Registry paramedic preferred
- Maintains certification through affiliation with approved applicable state-OEMS education provider
