Job Summary
Paramedic position at Cook Children's Medical Center providing care and transportation to pediatric and neonatal patients via ground ambulance, helicopter, and fixed wing aircraft. Maintain readiness of equipment, supplies, and related paperwork. Seeks to expand knowledge of pediatric and neonatal transport, requiring self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and excellent customer service and communication to develop and maintain positive working relationships in the transport environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas Certification or Licensure as a Paramedic
- Current CPR certification
- ACLS Certification (within 90 days of employment and maintain)
- PALS Certification (within 90 days of employment and maintain)
- NRP Certification (within 90 days of employment and maintain)
- Stable Certification (within 90 days of employment and maintain)
- TNCC (audit within 6 months of employment, every 4 years thereafter)
- Advanced Certification (FP-C, CCEMTP, C-NPT or TP-C) within 2 years
- Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (during orientation, every 3 years thereafter)
