Job Summary
Respond to emergency calls as a Paramedic, assess patients, administer treatments per established protocols, and safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients into/out of ambulances and facilities. Maintain effective communication with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and other responders; complete accurate transport and equipment documentation; comply with continuing education and licensure requirements; perform vehicle and equipment inspections; participate in public education and safety programs; and support company operations and safety through reporting of issues and assisting with training as needed. Preferred certifications include ACLS, PALS/PEPP, PHTLS/BTLS/ITLS, and CPR Instructor. Compensation includes base pay from $80,000 annually, with benefits such as PTO, health/dental, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Current/Valid Illinois Driver’s License
- Successful completion of a Paramedic program and maintain a current/valid Illinois Department of Public Health License
- Capable of completing continuing education and testing requirements in the system that you are assigned
- Successful completion of a professional and criminal background check
- Successfully pass pre-employment testing including a Fit for Duty Physical, Drug Screening, Agility and Lifting Evaluation
