Job Summary
Perform patient care and treatment activities aboard a helicopter or fixed-wing airplane, demonstrating clinical competencies for assigned functions. Maintain current EMT-P license from the Texas Department of State Health Services and obtain Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course, and Pediatric Transport Course certifications within specified timeframes. Secure Flight Paramedic or Critical Care Paramedic certification from the International Board for Specialty Certification within two years. Requires three or more years of Advanced Life Support or Critical Care experience, with one year of flight/air medical transport preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Successful completion of an approved EMT-Paramedic program
- Three or more years of experience in Advanced Life Support position or Critical Care Setting
- Current EMT-P license from the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC)
- Pediatric Transport Course (PCCTC)
- Flight Paramedic-Certification (FP-C) or Critical Care Paramedic- Certification (CCP-C) from the International Board for Specialty Certification (IBSC)
Desired Qualifications
