Job Summary
Paramedic for Albuquerque Ambulance Services in Santa Fe with a station-based ALS unit providing northern New Mexico interfacility transfer (IFT) coverage in a critical-care model. In this full-time, 1.0 FTE role, you’ll operate emergency vehicles safely, document patient encounters, and support a family-oriented, growth-focused team. The position offers 12-hour shift patterns (days/nights/swings), sign-on bonuses ($4,000–$7,500) and relocation bonuses ($3,500–$6,000) for qualified candidates, along with education assistance toward Bachelor’s/Master’s degrees, on-site wellness resources, and comprehensive benefits. Requires Flight Paramedic Certification (or willingness to obtain), NM Paramedic license, current NM driver’s license, 18+ years old, ACLS/BLS, FEMA 100/200/700, EMT experience preferred, physical abilities assessment, and DOT/medical examiner certification during onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- MUST HAVE FLIGHT PARAMEDIC CERTIFICATION (FPC) OR BE WILLING TO OBTAIN IT
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent
- Current New Mexico driver’s license without relevant restrictions within 30 days of hire
- Must be at least 18 years of age with insurable driving record
- New Mexico Paramedic license required
- Must have current ACLS and BLS through AHA/ASHI/Red Cross
- Must be up to date with FEMA 100, 200, 700 courses
- EMT experience preferred
- Must pass physical abilities assessment
- Must obtain medical examiner certification/DOT certification during onboarding
