Job Summary
Paramedic role providing emergency medical care in pre-hospital settings. Respond to calls from dispatch, assess patients, perform advanced life support, and transport to medical facilities. Duties include airway management, IV therapy, defibrillation, drug administration, documentation, equipment readiness, patient/family education, and coordination with emergency responders. Requires maintaining composure in high-pressure situations and adhering to legal and safety protocols. Work environment includes uncontrolled and potentially hazardous conditions with lifting requirements up to 250 lbs with partner; continuous education to stay current with protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Current NYS Licensed Paramedic
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS - if not AHA, must obtain AHA credentials within 3 months of hire
- Valid Driver’s license
