Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize advanced medical skills on equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide patient care. Communicate with patients and families to provide information and assurance. Act as team leader for scene and unit management as needed. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses while collaborating professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations. This role requires a Colorado Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certification. Schedule includes a 48 hours on/96 hours off rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Colorado Paramedic License
- Valid State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
