Job Summary
Paramedic provides patient care in both emergency and non-emergency environments, ensures compliance with State of Florida EMS rules and regulations, maintains ambulance equipment and vehicle readiness, holds and maintains EMT-P licenses and certifications, and adheres to company policies and protocols. Responsibilities include responding to calls, providing medical care per protocols, completing PCRs and reports, ensuring vehicle and equipment readiness, and participating in mandatory training; six-month introductory probation applies. Knowledge and skills cover on-site emergency medical services, protocol adherence, map reading, multitasking under emergent conditions, medical terminology, reporting, and effective communication; requires self-motivation and professional conduct while on duty. FLSA status: Non-Exempt.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- State of Florida EMT-P License
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PHTLS or equivalent certification (within 6 months of hire date)
- PALS or equivalent certification (within 6 months of hire date)
- EVOC or equivalent certification
- Current State of Florida Drivers License
