Job Summary
Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Act as team leader for scene and unit management, drive the ambulance on 911 responses, and communicate with patients and loved ones. Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain image and establish strong community relations. Requires State Paramedic License, PHTLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certification. Salary range $73,394.83 - $112,102.00. Located in Portland.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- PHTLS or a trauma certification equivalent
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
