Job Summary
Assess call situations using progressive protocols and utilize advanced medical skills on equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, and IV fluids to provide patient care. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses while acting as team leader for scene and unit management. Communicate with patients and families to assure care is being delivered, and collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. This role requires a State Paramedic License, PHTLS certification, and BLS/ACLS/NREMT-Paramedic credentials. AMR delivers compassionate emergency and patient relocation services as part of Global Medical Response.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- PHTLS or a trauma certification equivalent
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
