Job Summary
Paramedic role on a part-time (PRN) ambulance team. Responsibilities include assessing calls and determining best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols; applying advanced medical care using defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction, and IV fluids; documenting patient condition and treatment; communicating with patients and families; acting as Paramedic team leader for scene and unit management; driving the ambulance on emergency responses; and collaborating with allied health and public safety personnel. Must meet physical requirements (heavy lifting, long periods in vehicle) and maintain safety procedures. Continuing education benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- At least 20 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver’s License
- BLS, PALS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic (SC & AL)
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
