Job Summary
Provides advanced pre-hospital care including basic and advanced life support (ALS/BLS) interventions, patient assessment, stabilization, and emergency treatment; administers medications, performs procedures, and uses medical equipment per protocols; safely transports patients to healthcare facilities and documents care; maintains equipment readiness and participates in continuous professional development and quality improvement; performs Point of Care testing with administration approval; requires state Paramedic certification and valid driver’s license; obtain required certifications (NREMT, state) within 12 months of hire and within 90 days for certain programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Paramedic certification (State or Provisional)
- NREMT certification within 12 months of hire
- Valid driver’s license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) within 90 days of hire
- PHTLS (Prehospital Trauma Life Support) - Preferred
