Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Communicate with patients and loved ones while acting as team leader for scene and unit management. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses and collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- PALS certification
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
