Job Summary
Provides advanced pre-hospital care to patients, respecting age-specific/developmental needs and cultural factors, within the regulatory framework of Connecticut EMS. Responsibilities include assessing patient health needs and delivering emergent care, lifting/moving patients using transfer equipment, and working within the Ambulance Service. Requires paramedic licensure in Connecticut, current CPR/ACLS/PALS certifications, and the ability to interact professionally in diverse settings. Work involves shift 36 hours per week (Shift 3). Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a state-approved paramedic training program
- Currently licensed to practice in the State of Connecticut
- Knowledge and skills to assess health needs and deliver emergent care
- Maintain CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or Pediatric Education for the Prehospital Professional)
- Personal qualities: neatness, accuracy, dependability
- Professional and respectful communication
- Must be 21+ years of age
