Job Summary
Conduct pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished, completing electronic patient care records and daily base checks including narcotic counts. Provide pre-mission briefings, assist with liftoff checklists, and maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences while documenting licensure and continuing education. Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment. Functions as a medical flight member, filling open shifts as needed, while maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Trauma certification
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) certification within 24 months from date of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Instructor certifications in BLS
- Instructor certifications in ACLS
- Instructor certifications in PALS/PEPP
- Instructor certifications in ITLS/PHTLS
- NREMT-P certification
