Job Summary
Respond to emergency calls, assess patients, and provide advanced life support including airway management, IV therapy, and defibrillation. Safely transport patients to medical facilities while monitoring conditions and maintaining accurate patient care reports. Coordinate with dispatch, firefighters, law enforcement, and healthcare professionals, ensuring vehicle readiness and equipment maintenance. Lift and move patients up to 250 lbs in challenging environments, including extreme terrain or inclement weather. Adhere to legal protocols and participate in continuous education to stay current with medical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current NYS Licensed Paramedic
- Valid Driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years' experience in 911 and inter-facility transport
- Experience with critical care transports
