Job Summary
Respond to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and administer advanced life support including airway management, IV therapy, and defibrillation. Safely transport patients to medical facilities while monitoring their status, maintaining accurate care reports, and educating families during crises. Coordinate with dispatch, firefighters, and law enforcement, ensuring vehicle readiness and adherence to safety protocols. Work 12-hour shifts on a per diem basis in uncontrolled environments requiring physical stamina for lifting patients and navigating extreme terrain.
Required Qualifications
- Current NYS Licensed Paramedic
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS - if not AHA, must obtain AHA credentials within 3 months of hire
- Valid Driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years' experience in 911 and inter-facility transport
- Experience with critical care transports
