Job Summary
Respond to emergency calls, assess patients, and administer advanced life support including airway management, IV therapy, and defibrillation. Safely transport patients to medical facilities while monitoring their condition, often navigating extreme terrain or inclement weather. Coordinate with dispatch, firefighters, and law enforcement, and maintain accurate patient care reports. Ensure vehicle and equipment readiness, educate patients during crises, and adhere to safety protocols. Work 12-hour shifts on a per diem basis.
Required Qualifications
- Current NYS Licensed Paramedic
- Valid Driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years' experience in 911 and inter-facility transport
- Experience with critical care transports
