Job Summary
Paramedic responsible for inter-facility and emergency transports following TJH protocols; serves as the ambassador for Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals and team member the patient/family contact. Requires extensive critical care transport/ALS experience (minimum 5000 hours) and a broad certification set covering ACLS, ATLS/ATCN, ABLS, FP-C/CCP-C, PALS, PHTLS, BLS, EMT-Paramedic/NREMT, with projected timelines for completing certain credentials. Performs advanced life support duties (airway management, IV therapy, medications, cardiac monitoring) and is skilled with invasive monitoring and specialized devices. Work involves day shifts in a full-time capacity through Jefferson Health.” ,
Required Qualifications
- Experience - minimum 5000 hours in a critical care transport program or 911 ALS ambulance service
- Proficiency in advanced life support skills: intubation, IV insertion, medication administration, EKG interpretation, chest decompression
- Current medical command in good standing with the Philadelphia EMS Office or another region in Pennsylvania, NJ or DE
- Licenses & Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS/ATCN, TPATC, BLS, FP-C, CCP-C, PALS, PHTLS, ASLS, EMT-Paramedic (NREMT), and other listed certifications with timelines (within 180 days or 2 years)
- Ability to operate invasive monitoring devices (arterial line, SWAN-Ganz, CVP) and to manage devices such as IABP/ECMO/VAD/Impella
