Paramedic

Paramedic (Full-time Day Shift) near Cameron, LA. Responsible for providing treatment such as first aid or life support, assessing and planning direct and indirect clinical care, and serving as an advocate for patients and families. Responsibilities include operating ambulance equipment, responding to emergencies, delivering basic and advanced life support, treating trauma per Advanced Trauma Life Support, assisting with medical procedures, safely transporting patients to ED, documenting assessments and treatments, keeping current with new medical procedures, and conducting drug and alcohol testing. Rotation: 7 days on/7 days off; 12-hour night shift from 6:30pm to 6:30am. Qualifications include completion of an accredited paramedic program and state license, ACLS, BLS, CPR/AED, and relevant clinical experience.
