Job Summary
Paramedic provides on-site patient care within licensed/certified scope at government-designated facilities, supporting intake screening, daily health care requests, emergency response and stabilization, safe transfer of patients to hospitals, infectious disease screening and control, and accurate clinical documentation. Responsibilities include arranging and documenting transfer-related information, maintaining patient privacy, using language assistance as required, and participating in mandatory emergency response and life-safety trainings, while ensuring readiness for inspections, audits, and quality assurance in accordance with contract requirements and facility protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license in Texas or ability to obtain one
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) preferred
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Spanish is preferred
