Job Summary
Conduct pre-treatment patient assessments, establish IV access, and administer ketamine infusions per physician orders while continuously monitoring cardiac status, pulse oximetry, and respiratory function. Recognize and respond to adverse reactions by administering emergency medications and performing advanced life support interventions. Document all care in the electronic medical record and provide patient education regarding expectations and discharge instructions. Manage medication inventory, perform crash cart checks, and participate in quality assurance initiatives while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Requires current Paramedic certification, five years of related experience, and BLS/ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Paramedic certification or license within the state of practice
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills in infusion therapy and patient care
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
