Job Summary
Conduct classroom and lab education for Paramedic students, maintain program accreditation status, and manage student recruitment and selection. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while holding current practicing Paramedic credentials, CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications. This per diem position offers no committed hours or benefits and pays between $28 and $42 biweekly. Located at 40 IDX Drive in South Burlington, Vermont, the role supports University of Vermont Health's six-hospital network serving northern New York and Vermont.
Required Qualifications
- Current Practicing as a Paramedic
- Current certifications in CPR, ACLS and PALS
- Compliant with all federal, state and local regulations, including certification and licensing requirements as required by the discipline
- Must have a valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Instructor status
- Associates, Bachelors, or Masters Degrees
- National Registry EMT/Paramedic Certification
- Additional instructor certifications ie: Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC), Geriatric Emergencies for EMS (GEMS), EMS Safety, etc
- Minimum 2 years field experience as EMT/Paramedic with supervisory experience
- Experience in a training or educational setting
