Job Summary
Administer basic and advanced life support treatments while safely operating and maintaining emergency vehicles in compliance with laws. Deliver competent patient care across various settings by applying EMS procedures and interacting professionally with healthcare personnel. Document information accurately in the charting system, assist fellow providers with comprehensive reports, and maintain equipment, cleanliness, and restocked supplies. Adhere to company and local agency policies, demonstrate professional ethical behavior, and maintain clear communications with the Dispatch Center. First aid to injured coworkers may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Current Paramedic certification
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Current CPR
- Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely operate EMS vehicles and essential equipment
- Bend, sit, kneel, and lift up to 125 lbs; push/pull objects over 50 lbs
- Maintain physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environments
- Tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance
- Perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situations
