Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance. Act as team leader to manage the scene and unit as needed. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses and collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires State Paramedic License, BLS/ACLS/PALS certification, and a clean driving record. Hourly wage is $37.04.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- Ambulance Driver's License
- Medical Examiners Card
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, BTLS OR PHTLS
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
