Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize skills on medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Communicate with patients and families to assure care is being delivered. Act as team leader managing the scene and unit, and drive the ambulance on 911 responses. Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires Colorado Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certification. Works 12-hour shifts, often on weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Colorado Paramedic License
- Valid State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts
