Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize medical equipment and procedures including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Communicate with patients and loved ones while acting as team leader for scene and unit management. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses and collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. Requires State Paramedic License, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NREMT-Paramedic certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record compliant with company policy
- Must be able to successfully pass Physical Agility Test
- Good physical stamina, endurance, and body condition that would not be adversely affected by frequently having to walk, stand, lift, carry, and balance at times
- Must be able to lift, drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and other objects
Desired Qualifications
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare
