Job Summary
Respond to BLS, ALS, and CCT emergent and non-emergent transports and scene calls, providing high-quality routine and emergent basic and advanced life support in accordance with CA Title 22, local scope of practice, and PT-1 policy. Travel to partner facilities, patient homes, and events requiring services in partnership with an EMT or other qualified clinicians. Maintain current certification/licensure including EMT-P, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, and California Ambulance Driver Certificate. Base pay ranges from $35.31 to $46.08 per hour with sign-on bonuses of $10,000 to $20,000 depending on SF accreditation. Full-time or part-time schedules available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program
- Must be able to communicate and understand English, verbally and written
- Two (2) or more years of driving experience
- Current and valid California driver's license
- EMT-P certification
- CPR through the American Heart Association (instructor-based with AED)
- PALS (American Heart Association)
- PHTLS (American Heart Association) - required for SF
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- California Ambulance Driver Certificate (DL 61)
- DL51 (Medical Examiners Certificate)
- Must be current in local, state and federally mandated training
- Must maintain current industry standards through continuing education
- Must have completed all mandatory training including mandatory testing
- FEMA certifications, as required
- Other state or county certifications, as required
- Current SF Accreditation (for $20,000 sign-on bonus)
Desired Qualifications
- Critical Care Transport experience
- Neonatal/Pediatric Intensive Care Transport experience
