Job Summary
Direct patient care and manage scene logistics for over 1,600 annual calls across 4,400 square miles of urban and rural terrain. Operate in austere conditions using advanced life support, including pre-hospital blood products, mechanical ventilation, and POC lab testing, while coordinating air resources, mutual aid, and interfacility transfers. Document care promptly and collaborate with first responders on technical rope rescue, swift water, and wildland fire operations. Work a 48/96 schedule with an annual wage of $72,000 to $100,000. Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Paramedic Education Program that meets or exceeds the requirements set forth by the USDOT
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Two years of experience as an EMT-Basic
- Valid Colorado state driver's license free from restrictions and suspensions
- Valid Colorado state paramedic certification
- National Registry Paramedic certification
- current Basic Life Support AHA Healthcare
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- ICS 100, 200 & 700
- ability to efficiently communicate verbally, via telephone and radio equipment
- ability to lift, carry and balance up to 125 pounds (250 with assistance)
- ability to interpret written, oral and diagnostic instructions
- ability to use good judgment and remain calm in high-stress situations
- ability to work effectively in an environment with frequent auditory and visual interference
- ability to function efficiently throughout an entire work shift
- ability to calculate weight, volumes and ratios as well as read small print, all under threatening time constraints
- ability to read and understand English language manuals and road maps
- accurately discern street signs and address numbers
- ability to interview patient, family members, and bystanders

- Ability to bend, stoop, and crawl on uneven terrain and rugged surfaces

Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience in a busy urban environment as a Paramedic
- International Trauma Life Support (or equivalent)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
