Job Summary
Provide basic and advanced life support treatment, care, and evaluation of patients. Identify, intervene, and stabilize ill or injured patients under physician and nurse direction. Initiate and implement interventions based on transport team protocols. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions. Provide population-specific education to patients and families. Inspect, maintain, and care for equipment to ensure safety. This role operates mid-shift part-time with two 12-hour shifts from 11am to 11pm at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola's Freestanding ED.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Paramedic specializing in Flight credentialed from the International Board of Specialty Certification obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Paramedic credentialed from the Florida Emergency Medical Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
- Associate's degree/Technical degree
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
