Job Summary
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services focuses on donor eligibility determination, management of donor adverse events, review of laboratory test results, and notification of unsuitable results. role supports plasma center operations under the Center Manager and Center Physician, ensures adherence to SOPs, manages informed consent and AIDS education/self-exclusion, performs medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing, evaluates donor reactions, and coordinates donor transport for emergencies. The role also supports Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees, oversees occupational health incidents, and may serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS. Requirements include EMT-Paramedic licensure, CPR/AED, IV therapy training, and at least two years in a clinical/hospital setting. Location: Irving, TX; Full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program with state requirements
- Licensed or certified EMT-Paramedic in the state of responsibilities
- CPR and AED certification
- Satisfactory FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
