Job Summary
Paramedic (EMT-P) at BioLife Plasma Services/Takeda center responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing lab test results including SPE, and notifying donors of unsuitable results. Reports to Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and works under the Center Physician for medical issues; role includes supporting environmental, health and safety (EHS), participating in vaccination programs (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu), and potential Pandemic Coordinator duties. Must hold EMT-Paramedic license/certification, CPR/AED, and meet state requirements for basic IV therapy; typically requires two years of clinical/hospital experience. The position is based at the Bolingbrook, IL plasma center and offers a competitive hourly wage with full-time status.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate of a recognized nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic
- CPR and AED certification
- Basic IV therapy requirements
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
- FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training requirements
