Paramedic, Emergency (Per Diem, Evening Shift)

Job Summary
Responds to emergency medical calls providing advanced-level care, including CPR, wound bandaging, and patient stabilization. Assesses patient conditions to determine treatment courses while administering oral and intravenous medications, intubating patients, or performing surgical airway insertions. Provides individualized care plans according to standing orders, on-line medical control, and department policies within the pre-hospital environment. Conducts emergency medical classes as requested by the department manager. Requires a Paramedic license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and three years of 911 system experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Paramedic license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 yrs of age or older
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Three years' full time experience in a 911 system
- Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (EVOC) or equivalent
