Job Summary
Paramedic role in full-time EMS with primary responsibilities including assessing calls, applying Paramedic protocols, utilizing equipment such as defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and IV fluids to provide advanced care; communicating with patients and families; acting as Paramedic team leader and managing scene/unit as needed; driving the ambulance on 911 responses; collaborating with allied health and public safety personnel; and participating in community programs to maintain AMR image and community relations. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Kansas Paramedic certification or eligibility, state driver’s license, BLS and ACLS on hire (PALS preferred), compliant driving record, physical agility, and healthcare experience; employer is Global Medical Response/AMR and supports equal opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Kansas Paramedic certification or eligible for Kansas certification
- State Driver’s License
- BLS and ACLS required upon hire. PALS is preferred, but not required
